Jeanne Valois de la Motte, descendent of Valois family, daughter of Nicole Lamorlière and adoptive sister of Rosalie Lamorliere. She was bred on a poor neighborhood in Paris.
This character is based on Jeanne Valois, the intellectual author of the affair of the diamond necklace.

Tired of her poor life, Jeanne leaves her house and while looking for money, finds the Marquise Boulainvilliers and tells her about her noble origins. The marquise, impressed by what Jeanne told her, decided to help her and takes Jeanne to her mansion.

This episode reveals that Jeanne has made a name for herself by becoming the Marquise's protege. Rosalie finds her in this episode and begs her for some money to help their sick mother. Jeanne sets up a trap for Rosalie to ensure that she will not be bothered again by the latter. Greed starts to get to Jeanne's head and she plots with her lover Nicolas de la Motte a way to get rid of the Marquise. They burn down the villa at night and ensure that the Marquise is in the house and perishes in the fire.
