Jeanette Lee

Jeanette Lee (born July 9, 1971) is a successful American pool player. She is nicknamed The Black Widow for her tendency to wear black.

Born in Brooklyn, New York of Korean origin, Lee started playing pool in 1989. She usually wears a half-glove when playing to reduce risk of perspiration to the cue. She went pro in 1993 and, within months, was already ranked in the top ten of all professional women billiards players. She went on to rank as the number one billiards player in the world for a period during the 1990s, and received the Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) Sportsperson of the Year Award in 1998. In addition to many top finishes on the WPBA Tour, she brought home the gold medal for the USA at the 2001 Akita World Games in Japan and won the Ladies' $25,000 winner-take-all Tournament of Champions in November 2003. Jeanette also authored The Black Widow's Guide to Killer Pool.

As someone who has suffered from scoliosis, Lee is a strong supporter of those affected by the disease, and now serves as the national spokesperson for the Scoliosis Association, Inc. She lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband (professional pool player George Breedlove) and her daughter Cheyenne Lee Breedlove (born June 11, 2004).
