Jean-Pierre Monseré

Jean-Pierre Monseré (September 8, 1948—March 15, 1971[1]) was a Belgian cyclist. He became professional in 1969. That year he had already won the Giro di Lombardia. One year later he became the Belgian and World Champion. In 1971 he became Belgian champion again. Shortly afterwards, on March 15, he fell when hit by a car during the GP Retie and died. Monseré is regarded one of the best cycling talents ever; he was the youngest cyclist ever to become World Champion.
