The song was written and produced by Romano Musumarra who also worked with Dion on her 1991 album Dion Chante Plamondon. 7" B-side included unreleased song "Comment T'Aimer" and 12" included Extended & Extended Instrumental versions. There was no follow-up album. The single was included on Céline's 1988 compilation The Best Of.
"Je Ne Veux Pas" was never released in Canada.
