[edit] Origins of the Name

Whilst attending a computer summer camp at Appleby College, a fellow camp mate informed Dave of this website where one could get an email address for free (Hotmail). Upon signing up for his email address, he was confronted with an box that required his first and last name. Not wanting to give away personal information, he simply put his first name as "Joe" and his second name as "Bob". One of the next steps was to then decide what his email address would be. The hotmail server offered Dave suggestions, one of which happened to be jbob2_0_0_0 which he promplty snatched up.

[edit] History and Current Use

• jbob2_0_0_0 : Used as a hotmail address for MSN and for signing up for various websites. It is still used as Dave's MSN Messenger address. First used as a username for Geocities Web Hosting. It was also used as a username for many different other sites such as Bravenet.

• jbob2000 (WC3) : A friend Dave met down the road from his computer camp experience introduced him to a game called "Warcraft 3" (and later, it's expansion pack, The Frozen Throne"). When given the option to enter his username while signing up for a Battle.net account, jbob2000 was the first thing that sprung to mind.

• jbob2000 (Eve) : Dave got an interest in the game Eve Online through a feature on a television show called "Electronic Playground". It stated that you flew around in space ships and had over 4000 different ships and items which immediatly hooked him and prompted him to go out to his local Future Shop and purchase the game. His first character, however, was not named jbob2000. It was first named "Zeeke" after taking a suggestion from his father to name it after the name Dave calls his now passed grandfather. While attempting to join a "Corporation" (same thing as clan/guild) he was told that his type of character could not be accepted into the corporation due to the CEO's skill limitations. Because he hadn't advanced very far with his skills on Zeeke, he proceeded to create another character by the name of "jbob2000". Little did he know that he would long regret using numbers in his name.

• jbob2000 (Other) : The name has become a general username for Dave. He no longer thinks about what to enter when asked for a username. He hopes that somebody will recognize his user named from other games and will make contact with him. Dave also hopes that the name will become reletively famous within different communities. Games that this name has been used in include: Halo CE, Homeworld 2, Ratchet and Clank Deadlock, Socom US Navy Seals, Battlefront 2 MC, and Ogame.

_misc. dave is an awesome friend and he is very nice and he does more then game all day...i think .. lol jokes.
