Jayne Middlemiss

Jayne Middlemiss (born 5 January 1971 in Northumberland, England) is a former Page 3 girl who became a radio and television presenter.

In 1991 Jayne started out as a Page 3 girl, posing in topless shoots for The Sun under the name of Jayne Marconi, within a year, she left that behind to start a presenting career, first by presenting music programmes, such as The O-Zone, the Smash Hits Awards, and the Top of the Pops show on BBC Radio One.

She also hosted The Phone Zone on cable channel UK Play when it began in 1999. After hosting live coverage of Glastonbury Festival and the Edinburgh Festival, Jayne presented Rough Cut and Dog’s Balearics. She was one of the original presenters on the new digital station BBC 6 Music in 2002, presenting the Music Week, where she remained until she left in April 2004.

Jayne began to move into more mainstream programming with three series of the fashion show She's Gotta Have It. She went on to present some of the BBC's Holiday programmes, to destinations across the globe, before co-hosting the LA Pool Party series, which won a TRIC Award.

In 2004, for Five TV, Jayne presented the dating show What Women Want, before co-presenting the seventh series of Robot Wars, alongside Craig Charles.

In 2005 she appeared on Celebrity Love Island and became emotionally involved with footballer Lee Sharpe. The pair did not become a couple, however, despite the producers of the show sending them on a trip in a 'make or break' boat. She eventually went on to win the show, alongside Fran Cosgrave. In 2006 she returned to Fiji to host Celebrity Love Island's sister show Aftersun on ITV2.

Currently in 2006 she is presenting Family Forensics UK, a Twofour production for LivingTV. The show sees a team of forensic investigators rifling through ordinary homes to uncover the psychological make-up of family members. Only one member of the family will know about the show - for the rest of the family it will be a surprise.

She was a guest panelist on the first edition of the comedy quiz show Best of the Worst, aired on Channel 4 on 1 September 2006 and was on 8 Out of 10 Cats.
