Jay Simpson (born December 1, 1988 in London) is an English footballer who currently plays for FA Premier League side Arsenal. He plays as an attacking midfielder or winger, and wears the number 44 shirt.
He has been at the club since he was a boy, even playing in a U-17 match at the age of 13. He scored six times in eight starts in the 2005-06 FA Premier Reserve League season, and played in Dennis Bergkamp's testimonial against Ajax Amsterdam in July 2006, and was on the bench for Arsenal's Carling Cup match against West Bromwich Albion on October 24, 2006. He also plays for the England Under-17 side.
