Jay Harrison

Jay Harrison (born November 3, 1982 in Oshawa, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays in the organization of the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.

In 1998, Jay was the first player chosen in the Ontario Hockey League's Priority Selection. He played for the Brampton Battalion.

In 2001, Harrison was drafted in the 3rd round, 82nd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL Entry Draft. He recorded his first career point with an assist in a 4-2 win versus Florida on January 30, 2006.

2005-06 Season: Played 57 games for the Toronto Marlies collecting 29 points (nine goals, 20 assists) with 100 penalty minutes… Recalled from the Toronto Marlies January 27… Made his NHL debut January 28 vs. Montreal… Registered his first NHL career point (assist) January 28 vs. Montreal… Registered a career-high in ice time (22:27) February 3 at Washington… Re-assigned to the Toronto Marlies February 11… Played eight games for the Toronto Maple Leafs collecting one point (assist) and two penalty minutes… Playoffs: Played five games for the Toronto Marlies collecting four points (one goal, three assists) with eight penalty minutes.

2004-05 Season: Played 60 games for St. John’s of the American Hockey League collecting four assists with 108 penalty minutes...played four AHL playoff games collecting one assist with four penalty minutes

2003-04 Season: Played 70 games for St. John’s collecting nine points (four goals, five assists) with 141 penalty minutes...set career highs in goals and penalty minutes...played his 100th career AHL game November 28 at Cleveland
