Javier Angel Balboa Osa, "Rocky Balboa" (Born May 13, 1985) also known as "Balboa" was born in Madrid, Spain to Equatorial Guinea immigrants. He was a member Real Madrid Castilla and graduated from the youth ranks.
Balboa is another young talent from the youth ranks of Real Madrid. A gifted player with speed and great technique. Balboa arrived at Real Madrid Castilla only in the 2005 summer, after the loaning of ex-Real Madrid Castilla star Juanfran to Mallorca. Balboa settled down in Juanfran's old shoes as a right sided attacking midfielder, even though Balboa missed a part of castilla's season due to an injury and Real Madrid first team duty. Balboa still finished his first season with Castilla with 28 appearances and one goal.
Balboa had toured with the first team of Real Madrid in the Austrian Tour.
He has been signed a one-year loan deal with to Racing Santander for first team experience - after being told he was not part of the first-team plans by head coach Fabio Capello.
