Javad Maroofi

Javad Maroufi (جواد معروفی in Persian, 1912- December 7, 1993) was a famous Persian-style pianist and composer.
He was born in Tehran to his musician father Musa Maroufi. Javad Maroufi was one of the most famous composers of classical Persian music and one of the first pianists who wrote Persian pieces for the piano. Amongst his famous pieces are Khabhaye Talai (Golden Dreams) and Jila.
