Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin ("There is no one like Jassi") was a popular telenovela (soap opera) in India, directed by Deeya Singh and Tony Singh and produced by SET India. It was based upon the popular Colombian telenovela Yo soy Betty, la fea.

The show's main character, Jasmeet Jassi Walia, played by Mona Singh, is an unattractive, somewhat naive, but intelligent woman, working for a fashion company. She is constantly mocked by her more beautiful female (and sometimes male) collegues, while being in love with her boss, Armaan Suri, played by Apoorva Agnihotri. In the end, she gets a better job, a makeover and marries Armaan Suri.

The show was aired national-wide in India. It basically followed the exact same story line like "Betty la fea".
