Jason Simpson (born March 06, 1983), was a American college football player for the University of Missouri. Mizzou is a Division I-A school located in Columbia, Missouri.

Simpson attended The Woodlands in The Woodlands, Texas. Was all-district and all-county selection on defense. Recorded 3 interceptions (one for a touchdown) and 2 fumble recoveries. Tallied 78 tackles throughout his career. Was named the team's defensive player of the week six times during the season and team MVP twice. Caught six passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. He also lettered in track. Member of Young Life, HAMUN Geographical Society, National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Also gave his time by volunteering in nursing homes.

Had a break-out year which saw him earn 2nd-Team All-Big 12 honors by the Associated Press after registering career highs in virtually every statistical category ... His development was a key reason for the improvement in MU's defense ... Ranked second on the team with 98 tackles and his 15 tackles for loss was most on the squad, an impressive feat playing from the free safety position ... Tied for the team lead with 2 forced fumbles, and was second on the squad with his 6 passes broken up ... Playing in his home state of Texas, made a game-changing play at Baylor, when he stepped in front of a pass for his first career interception, and raced 46 yards inside the BU 10-yardline to set up a Tiger score late in the 1st half to help MU get some cushion in what was a tight game ... Had double-digit tackles in four games on the season, including three straight in a stretch against Texas, Oklahoma State and Nebraska ... Had a season-high total of 12 tackles twice on the year, against Arkansas State and Oklahoma State ... Had TFLs in 8-of-11 games on the year, including 5 games that saw him register 2 or more ...
