Jason Beam (born March 18, 1973 in Great Falls, Montana, USA) is an artisan working in the Dark Art genre and has been working in the field of digital art since 1995.[1]

Born and raised in Great Falls, Montana, he spent his childhood and high school years engulfed in art and graphics courses. In 1983, at the age of 10, his mother purchased their first computer, an Apple Macintosh IIc, which helped influence his future profession. Ten years later, Jason Beam moved to Denver, Colorado in 1993 to begin his formal education at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design where he studied illustration, including computer-aided and more traditional techniques. He then continued on to attend Platt College where he studied electronic pre-press and graphic design, both conventional and computer-generated techniques. He developed his current style of work by creatively experimenting with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator using a combination of traditional artistic methods and established pre-press production processes. In 1995, there were very little digital art mentors or influences, which eventually led him to solidifing his style, and maintaining a faithful following among viewers.

Jason Beam's illustrative story-telling of classic macbre tales has been featured in magazine publications and books. His works have been displayed at Galerie Luna in Salem, MA, Echo Gallery in Chicago, the Dark Secrets Gallery in Philadelphia, in the Renaissance 2K Travelling Exhibition, and his piece titled 'Militaire De Dieu' is on permanent display at the Centre Jeanne D’Arc Museum in Orleans, France.

Currently, Jason Beam lives and works in Montana, providing full-service graphic design/illustration services to a variety of clients. He has spent time mentoring high school students and instructing college level classes in Advanced and Creative Digital Art Techniques at MSU Great Falls. He was formerly the Chairman for the SpookyART Charity Project, the former Chairman of the Marketing Committee for the Great Falls Young Enthusiast's Society, and spent several years on the Public Service and Education committees for the Great Falls Advertising Federation.

In 2007, Jason Beam will be appearing as a guest at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in Chicago, Illinois, along with the stars and producers of the Timo Rose film Barricade and participating in a panel at the show. Jason Beam is credited with the Art Director duties for all the promotional and print collateral materials for the film.
