Jason Babin (born May 24, 1980 in Kalamazoo, Michigan) is a defensive end for the Houston Texans. He was acquired in the 2004 NFL Draft with the 27th pick in the first round out of Western Michigan. He had 54 tackles and 4 sacks in his rookie year for the Texans. In his second year he had 37 tackles, 4 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. His hometown is Paw Paw, Michigan. He is often referred to as "Bad-Boy Babin" by Houston Texans fans.

Babin attended Paw Paw High School and lettered in football and wrestling. In football, he was a two-time team Defensive MVP, and was an All-Kalamazoo Valley Association first team choice as a senior. In wrestling, he was the state champion as a senior. Came back from a broken leg his senior year, playing in the last 3 games earning a scholarship from Western Michigan University. Played against Noah Herron and T.J. Duckett in High School, both of whom are in the NFL.

Babin attended Western Michigan University and finished his college football career with 38 sacks, 299 tackles, eight forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. First player ever from Western Michigan University to be drafted in the first round.
