Jason Arrant

Jason Arrant pled guilty to murdering his ex-girlfriend Rachelle Waterman's mother, Lauri Waterman, with co-conspirator Brian Radel and alleged co-conspiritor Rachelle Waterman. Radel pled guilty and ended up receiving a 99 -year sentence (eligible for parole on one third of sentence). Rachelle Waterman's trial, in which both Arrant and Radel testified in, ended in a hung jury.

According to information entered in court, the two 24 year olds murdered Lauri Waterman, the then-48-year old mother of two, using a blunt object shortly after midnight on the morning of November 14, 2004. During the time of the murder Rachelle Waterman was attending a volleyball tournament in Anchorage, Alaska. The minivan in which the killing took place was subsequently burnt in an attempt to conceal and destroy evidence.

The murder was alleged to have been planned for several months.
