Jason Anthony Griffith

Jason A. Griffith is a voice actor who has worked on several animated TV series, and is currently the official voice of Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog in the Sonic game series. He started doing the voice of Sonic and Shadow in the Sonic X television series. He was later hired by Sega to be the official voice of Sonic and Shadow in the Sonic game series. He began his work in the games in Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Rush. In Sonic Riders, Griffith provided the voice for Jet. Griffith's voice has been negatvely viewed by fans of the old voice cast of the Sonic series, as his voice for Sonic has been criticized by fans of lacking the enthusiasm that Sonic's last voice actor Ryan Drummond put into the role while to some others it's the tone of voice that is inappropriate for the character. He is also criticized for not being able to fit Shadow's personality as well as David Humphrey did. Fans have been sending Sega letters, phone calls, e-mails, and petitions demanding to give the role of Sonic back to Ryan Drummond and the role of Shadow back to David Humphrey. Sega has failed to comment the fans' demands so far.

Outside the Sonic series, his voice is well-known as that of Usopp and his father Yasopp, in the English version of the animated TV series One Piece. He is also know as J. Griff in the credits of One Piece.
