Jaroslav Plašil (born January 5, 1982) is a Czech football player who, as of 2006 was playing for Monaco.
Plašil played for the Czech Republic at Euro 2004 and the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He has been employed by French league club Monaco since 2000 and enjoyed his finest moment in 2003/04 when the principality side reached the final of the UEFA Champions League. In that season, Plasil contributed a goal to Monaco’s record-breaking 8-3 defeat of Deportivo La Coruna.
Plasil is expected to step in when the Czechs start rebuilding their midfield.
