Jared Staal (born August 21, 1990 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada) is an ice hockey player. The sixteen year-old completed his season playing Triple-A Midget in his hometown, and was drafted in the first round of the OHL Priority Selection Draft by the Sudbury Wolves (11th Overall). He is the younger brother of Eric Staal of the Carolina Hurricanes, Marc Staal a prospect for the New York Rangers, currently playing for the Sudbury Wolves in the OHL, and Jordan Staal, of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jared was drafted in the first round by the Sudbury Wolves in the 2006 OHL draft. He is now playing along side his brother, Marc, for the 2006-2007 season with the Wolves.
