Jardinópolis

Jardinópolis is a city with 32,768 inhabitants (IBGE, 2003) and municipality with 504.88 km² and the elevation is 590 m, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, near Ribeirão Preto. Jardinópolis is known as the most important center of distribution of mango in Brazil. The city has become famous for the enormous percentage of gay men and women who live there despite its conservative roots as the usual for a small town.[citation needed]
