Shinonome was a Fubuki-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Her name means "Morning Twilight" or "Daybreak Clouds".
On 17 December 1941, Shinonome was with the Borneo invasion force. She suffered two direct bomb hits by Dutch flying boat X-32 of GVT-7, which detonated the aft magazine. Shinonome blew up and sank with all hands off Miri, Borneo ( ).
On 15 January 1942, Shinonome was removed from the Navy List.
