Oshio was a Asashio-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Her name means "High Tide".

On 20 February 1943, while returning from transport duty to Wewak, Oshio was torpedoed by USS Albacore (SS-218) and went dead in the water. Arashio attempted to tow but Oshio's keel finally buckled and the ship sank 70 miles (130 km) northwest of Manus Island (00°50′S 146°06′E).
