Janna (1191 - 1230) was one of the great Kannada poets of the 13th. century. He graced the court of Hoysala king Veera Ballala II. He earned the title Kavichakravarthi.

His great works include Yashodhara Charitre which deals with Jain tenets, and Ananthnatha Purana which deals with the teachings of the 14th Jain tirthankara.

His Yashodhara Charitre is a Kannada version of the Sanskrit work Yashodhara Kavya of Vadiraja and the Ananthnatha Purana is a story of temptation and infatuation with fatal consequences.
