Janet Burleson is a professional horse trainer and the founder of the Guide Horse Foundation, a charity dedicated to researching the use of miniature horses as guides for the Blind.

Noted in Practical Horseman magazine as "One of the world’s pioneering horse trainers", Janet Burleson is the author of “Helping Hooves” her story of training miniature horses for the blind. Janet Burleson is also a manager at Burleson Consulting and author of five technical books, including “Miniature Horses in the Neighborhood” and “Conducting the Programmer job Interview”. Janet lives in North Carolina with her husband Donald K. Burleson.
