Janakkala

Janakkala is a municipality of Finland. Its seat is in Turenki.

It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of Hame, the Tavastia Proper region. The municipality has a population of 15,517 (2003) and covers an area of 586.02 km2 of which 37.76 km2 is water. The population density is 26.5 inhabitants per km2.

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
