Jana Aandolan is the English translation of a Nepalese word meaning "People's Revolution".

"Jana Aandolan" became popular in whole South Asia after 19 days of protests in Nepal last April.

In 1990 April also the movement "Jana Aandolan" was conducted but that could give nepalese people a little freedom with main power still with the King.

After Jana Aandolan 2006 the King has been shrinked to ceremonial role and the government has been changed from "His Majesty's Government" to "Government of Nepal". Girija Prasad Koirala was elected Nepal's first Prime Minister following the Jana Aandolan.

However Moaists are still fighting (without artilaries this time) to make it "Republican Government of Nepal"
