Jan Tříska

Jan Tříska (4 November 1936 in Prague) is a Czech-American actor. After signing Charter 77 proclamation he emigrated to the U.S. via Cyprus. He is known to most fans as the assassin from The People vs. Larry Flynt. Before the emigration he also appeared in movie version of classic Raduz a Mahulena and in communist propaganda piece 30 pripadu majora Zemana. In the U.S. he appeared in a large number of movies as a character actor, for example in Highlander and Osterman's Weekend.
Tříska received Alfréd Radok Award for performing 'Lear' in King Lear at the Summer Shakespeare Festival at Prague Castle.
