Jan Kiepura

Jan Wiktor Kiepura (born May 16, 1902 in Sosnowiec - died August 15, 1966 in Harrison, New York) was a Polish singer (tenor) and actor.

Before the World War II, he built a well-known villa "Patria" in Krynica-Zdrój, which cost him about $3 million. Some Polish movies were made there.

He played in twelve musicals, like O czym się nie myśli (1926), Neapol, śpiewające miasto (1930) or Zdobyć cię muszę (1933).

He was buried in Powazki Cemetery, Warsaw.
