James, would you take a look at the current controversy on the Traditionalist Catholic Talk page? You apparently had some input there early on, and may be interested. (Diligens 18:19, 10 May 2006 (UTC))

Hello and welcome! The 'External links' sections of articles are for specific links to webpages that have more info on the subject from which it is linked. For example Art Olivier should have an external link to a biography on the man or an analysis of his work. Linking to www.libertyforums.com/ (which has zero info on the home page about the man) is not useful and in fact looks like spamming. Please don't do that. --mav

Please stop putting your personal advertisement everywhere. One or two pages should be enough! --Faré

[edit] Image tag

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status?

You can use {{gfdl}} if you wish to release your own work under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{PD-self}} if you wish to release your own work to the public domain, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use of someone else's work, and so on. Click here for a list of the various tags.

If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the image from, and I'll tag it for you. (And if you know exactly what this means and are really tired of the constant reminders, please excuse me. They will stop once the tagging project is complete.) Thanks so much. Denni 03:47, 2004 Dec 16 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at Wikipedia:Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

[edit] Your recent edits to Dish Network

Please refrain from changing "Dish" to "DISH". The Manual of Style says that trademarks are to be treated just as any other proper noun regardless of the wishes of the trademark holder, a position which such copy editors as Bill Walsh of the Washington Post find eminently reasonable. Likewise for the various other trademarks on that page.

[edit] Sedevacantecoin.jpg

Hi,

I wondered if you could give more details of the image Sedevacantecoin.jpg? It claims to be a "Photo taken of euro coin released during the sede vacante between John Paul II and Benedict XVI"; but it looks more like a computer generated image. The design doesn't seem to match photos of coins on other sites, and indeed the regular issue euro coins don't include a solid silver coin. The Vatican website does mention a silver 5-euro piece being issued in the sede vacante period, but it shows the design and it's quite distinct from that shown.

Thanks, TSP 01:06, 18 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image source/licensing for Image:Bpdolan.gif

The image you uploaded, Image:Bpdolan.gif, has no source information. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Unless the copyright status is provided, the image will be marked for deletion on 24 October 2005.

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Pivarunas.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Pivarunas.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairusein|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Pak21 14:56, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

I understand from your userboxes you're interested in Ancient Greek. I've submitted a proposal to add an Ancient Greek Wikisource on Meta, and I'd be very grateful if you could assist me by either voting in Support of the proposal, or even adding your name as one of the contributors in the template. [edit] Image Tagging for Image:Seiwert-Fleige.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Seiwert-Fleige.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Image:Alonso Corral.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Alonso Corral.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chowbok 03:05, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

You took this picture? Can you provide more details? —Chowbok 05:03, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
