Kewwwwwwl! My userpage just got vandalised by this dink. But I now have the power of VandalProof! MWA-HA-HA-HA-HA! MWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA! You dink.
I am currently studying towards a Master's Degree in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, having graduated in Mathematics from University College London in 2002. My course focuses on Writing and Cultural Politics, mainly in the context of Modernism and Postmodernism. I'm aiming to write my dissertation on Scottish and British Poetry between the First and Second World Wars, with a possible focus on the Scottish Renaissance and the use-value of poetry.
Away from my studies... hmmm, well I don't get a lot of time away from the books, which can be a bit of a bummer. In previous existences I've co-ordinated the customer service ops for a bakery that makes those little rolls you get in airline meals, sub-edited for an online employment agency, sold digital satellite television over the phone, been a removals man, transported jewellery for a top-end London jewellers, taught IT to people with disabilities, and taught Maths to 16-year-olds who have been dropped out of mainstream schooling. I've also worked as a private tutor.
My interests on Wikipedia are pretty freeform. Essentially, I use it to switch my mind off from the books, and copy-edit articles that seem to need some attention. I've put a bit more effort into a few tiny articles, including Burgess Hill and Great Milton, and have spent quite a bit of time on Nineteen Eighty-Four and George Orwell.
