Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo

Tibetan: འཇམ་དབྱངས་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་
Wylie: 'jam dbyangs mkhyen brtse'i dbang po

Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo (1820-1892) was a renowned teacher, scholar and tertön of 19th century Tibet. He was a leading figure in the nonsectarian Rime movement.

In 1855 Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo had a vision of Tara and discovered Phagme Nyingthig (Tib. spelling: 'chi med 'phags ma'i snying thig, Innermost Essence teachings of the Immortal Bodhisattva [Arya Tara]).[1]

One of his main reincarnations was Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro. One of his students was Adzam Drugpa.
