Jamshid Mashayekhi

Djamshid Mashayekhi (in Persian: جمشید مشایخی), Actor, Born 1934, Tehran, Iran. Started stage acting in the late 1940s and film acting with 'Brick and Mirror' (1965, E. Golestan). Subsequently after a four-year delay, he acted in The Cow(1969, Darius Mehrjui) and Kaiser(Qeysar) (1969, Masoud Kimiay). In most of his films, he appeared as the elders of family and grandfathers with his white hair and charismatic face and figure. He received the prize for The Grandfather (1985, M. Gharizadeh) from the First Festival of Non-aligned Countries in North Korea.
