Jamie Woodson

Jamie Woodson (born on March 6, 1972) is a Tennessee politician. She represents the 6th district in the Tennessee Senate, which is composed of the majority of Knox County. She was elected to the 101st through 103rd General Assemblies as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives before being elected to the state senate. She serves as the Secretary of the Senate Republican Caucus, as the chair of the Senate Education Committee, and as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Transportation Committee.
She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a J.D. She was admitted to the Tennessee Bar Association and works as an attorney. The Senator married in the summer of 2005 to Bill Woodson atthe couple's farm "Horse Fly Farm," inheriting three wonderful step-children: Joseph, Elizabeth, and Caitlin. [citation needed]
