Jamie McDonald

Jamie McDonald (born 9 June 1967 in Liverpool, England) is a journalist and radio producer and presenter in Australia

McDonald attended boarding school at King William's College on the Isle of Man in 1979. He then studied a degree in Communication at Manchester Metropolitan University from 1986 to 1988. After graduating, he worked in London, writing and directing television commercials. Jamie then moved to France to follow his interest in snow skiing and worked as a ski guide for the Ecole du Ski Francais. He began his radio career in France with Europe 2 as the alpine sports reporter and breakfast co-host. He completed a diploma in journalism in French in 1993 and worked for Radio St Tropez as a breakfast co-presenter.

McDonald emigrated to Australia in 1996 with a permanent residence visa, and started working for Sydney radio station Triple M. He then spent seven years working for the RGC network all over Victoria as a breakfast presenter. He was then employed by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as a senior producer and consultant in Brisbane, Queensland.

He is currently working as the producer of the Brisbane version of "The Cage" breakfast program on Triple M, and hosts an Australian music show on a Sunday night.
