Jamie Cudmore

Jamie Cudmore (born on September 6, 1978 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian rugby player.
He has played a total of 16 games for Canada, including at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. He played at ASM Clermont Auvergne and is nicknamed 'Cuddles' by his team mates.
In 1997, Cudmore hosted a party which resulted in the beating of 40 year old Robert McIntosh, resulting in his death "Loyalty and Murder Don't Mix" by N. Wrigth, "North Shore News", July 19, 1999, retrieved June 14, 2006. McIntosh, a lawyer, was asked by Cudmore's parent to keep an eye on the family household while they went away on vacation. Taking advantage of his parent's absence, 19-year old Cudmore threw a large house party with over 150 youth. As promised, McIntosh went to the Cudmore household to check and in an upstairs room occupied by eight to twelve teens, he was beaten him to death.
Following the murder many Squamish residents, especially in the upscale Garibaldi Highlands where the McIntosh family lived, decorated their houses and cars with blue ribbons to signal a demand for early justice. But many of the ribbons were ripped off. Rumours circulated that youths involved would retaliate against ribbon-flyers. Squamish Chamber of Commerce's 1999 Citizen of the Year and a longtime friend of the McIntosh family, Ray Peters (deceased - 2006) continues to fly one of the remaining blue ribbons from his pickup's antenna "Loyalty and Murder Don't Mix" by N. His brother is actor Daniel Cudmore.
