Jami Stallings
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jami Stallings is a beauty queen from Evansville, Indiana who has competed in the Miss Teen USA pageant and who will compete for in the Miss USA pageant in 2007.
Stallings won her first major pageant in 2002 when she was crowned Miss Indiana Teen USA 2003. She had placed in the top fifteen the year previously, and was coached by Sarah McClarey, who was Miss Indiana Teen USA 1995 and Miss Indiana USA 2001.[1] In August 2003 she represented Indiana in the Miss Teen USA pageant broadcast live from Palm Springs, California, and made the top fifteen. She was only the second delegate from Indiana to place since 1994, when Nicolette VanHook also made the semi-finalists.
In 2006, Stallings returned to the Indiana pageant stage, winning the Miss Indiana USA title. Two other former Teen titleholders competed in the pageant, Melyssa Ramos, who preceded Stallings and Courtni Hall, who succeeded her. Stallings will now compete for the Miss USA 2007 title in a nationally televised pageant broadcast live from an as-yet unannounced location in the spring of 2007.
With her win, Stallings became the sixth Indiana teen and the seventh former Miss Teen USA delegate to win the Miss title. No other state has had as many former teen delegates win the Miss title. She became the seventh former teen delegate to win a Miss USA 2007 title and the third from the class of 2003. Overall, she is the fifth delegate from Miss Teen USA 2003 to win a Miss USA state crown.
Stallings is a student at O'More College of Design in Franklin, Tennessee, and is a roommate of Lauren Grissom, Miss Tennessee USA 2006.[2] She plans to become a fashion designer and a boutique owner.[3] Stallings appeared on MTV's The 70s House from July 2005, and was the sixth contestant eliminated.
