James Waldegrave, 13th Earl Waldegrave

James "Jamie" Sherbrooke Waldegrave, 13th Earl Waldegrave (born 8 December 1940) is a British peer and businessman.

Waldegrave is the son of the 12th Earl Waldegrave and was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge. In 1986, he married Mary Furness (a journalist of the Evening Standard, philosophy lecturer and former girlfriend of Martin Amis), a daughter of Sir Robert Furness. Waldegrave inherited his father's titles in 1995 and he and his wife divorced a year later after having two sons:

  • Edward Waldegrave, Viscount Chewton (b. 1986)
  • Hon Robert Arthur Riversdale (b. 1989).

Lord Waldegrave currently runs his own cheese-making business, Waldegrave Farms, at Bathway near his home in Chewton Mendip.
