James R. Grover, Jr.

James Russell Grover, Jr. (born March 5, 1919) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from New York.

Grover was born in Babylon, New York. He graudated from Hofstra University in 1941 and Columbia Law School in 1949. He served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1943 until 1945 in the China Burma India Theater of World War II. He served in the New York State Assembly from 1957 until 1962. He was elected to Congress in 1962 and served from January 3, 1963 until January 3, 1975. He unsuccessfully ran for re-election against Thomas J. Downey in 1974.
