James Puckle

James Puckle (1667 - 1724) was an English inventor from London who developed what he called the Puckle Gun, a multi-shot rifle capable of firing 9 rounds before being reloaded. The "Puckle Gun" is sometimes considered an ancestor of the machine gun.
