James Michael Callahan

James Callahan, also James Michael Callaham or Jerome Callahan was a ship’s clerk, described as a “trustworthy dockworker” who allegedly reported to the KGB during World War II. Callahan allegedly gave Soviet intelligence information regarding the activities of Robert Lambert, head of the CaliforniaCommunist party, and information regarding uranium deposits.

Callahan is referenced in the Venona #580–581 San Francisco to Moscow, 13 November 1945 decrypt; the NSA has subsequently released a reissue of the first 10 July 1995 release decrypt. Both are listed below.
