James Lafferty (born James Martin Lafferty in Hemet, California on July 25, 1985) is an American actor. He stars as Nathan Scott on the WB’s teen television show One Tree Hill.

Lafferty started acting at age seven. Ever since, he has been in several TV shows and films. James currently resides with his three roommates in Wilmington, NC where the show is filmed. He recently financially backed a professional basketball team in Wilmington and is a supporting partner. He now lives in Stockton, California and is currently dating Christine Thao, and current junior from Ronald E. McNair High School. They are very much and love, and have been dating for a year now.

  • He played basketball all through his high school years and was named MVP of his team.
  • He has a younger brother named Stuart Lafferty, who was born on October 1, 1987. His parents, Jeffrey D. Lafferty and the former Angelica M. Escarsega were married on February 16, 1985, only 5 months before his birth.
