James III can refer to:
- James III of Cyprus (1473–1474).
- James III of Scotland (1452–1488).
- James Francis Edward Stuart (1688–1766), the Old Pretender, who would have been James III of England had he succeeded his father James II. He was recognised as James III & VIII by Louis XIV on the death of James II & VII in 1701. Spain; Modena and the Papal States also recognised him.
