James Haven (born James Haven Voight on May 11, 1973 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor and producer.

[edit] Personal life and family

Haven's parents are American actor Jon Voight and French Canadian actress Marcheline Bertrand. His sister is actress Angelina Jolie.

Haven's relationship with Jolie was the subject of controversy after Jolie affectionately kissed her brother when she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2000 Oscars. Her exuberance in her display of affection, coupled with her statement, "I'm so in love with my brother right now', fueled comments and rumors that they had an incestous relationship, which both Jolie and Haven dismissed as untrue and inappropriate. Both siblings have gone on the record as being close, having leaned on each other for support after their parents' divorce.

[edit] Career

Although Haven's acting career has not been as high-profile or as prolific as his father or sibling's careers, he has made appearances in several movies, including the 2001 film Monster's Ball. Haven has also appeared in several French films.

He has also appeared in the drama series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Haven studied filmmaking at USC School of Cinema-Television, and while there, won a George Lucas film award for directing a film which featured Jolie. (In all, five of Haven's student films included his sister.)

Haven was credited, along with his mother and sister, as an executive producer on the 2005 documentary "Trudell", which told the story of Native American poet and activist John Trudell.
