James Gustave (Gus) Speth

James Gustave (Gus) Speth was a co-founder of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) while in his last year at Yale Law School and later established the World Resources Institute. After completing a six-year term as administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, he is now Dean of the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and author (2004) of Red Sky at Morning.
