James Edwin Cassidy

Bishop James Edwin Cassidy (Born August 1, 1869, Died May 17, 1951) served the third Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River, Massachusetts. He was ordained a priest September 8, 1898, and was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Fall River on March 21, 1930. He was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Fall River on July 13, 1934 as the health of his predecessor, Daniel Francis Feehan declined. After Bishop Feehan's death on July 19th, Cassidy succeeded him as bishop on 28 July, 1934.[1]
