James E. Darnell

James E. Darnell Jr. is an American biologist who made significant contribtions to RNA processing and cytokine signaling and is author of the cell biology textbook Molecular Cell Biology. In 2002 he received the National Medal of Science and the Albert Lasker Special Achievement Award for his extensive contributions to cell biology.
