Jamais Cascio

Jamais Cascio is a San Francisco Bay Area-based writer and futurist. In 2003, he co-founded the popular environmental website WorldChanging. He now blogs at Open The Future, a title based on his WorldChanging.com essay, 'The Open Future', and writes a monthly essay at Futurismic.

Cascio wrote two books for the GURPS science fiction role-playing game series "Transhuman Space", Broken Dreams (2002) and Toxic Memes (2003). In the 1990s, he worked for the futurist and scenario planning firm Global Business Network. He is a prominent figure in both the bright green branch of environmentalism and in the democratic transhumanist movement.
