Jalil Mohammad Gholizadeh was a legendary Iranian satirist and writer.[1]

He was born in Nakhjavan to an Iranian family from Khoy. He was proficient in Persian, Azeri, and Russian languages. He was the chief editor and writer of weekly magazine Molla Nasreddin. Molla Nasreddin contained stires in Azeri language and cartoons. In fact these cartoon were the very first cartoons published in Iran and Azerbaijan. [2]

After Molla Nasreddin, Gholizadeh published several other stories including "freadom in Iran".
