Jake Weary (born February 14, 1990) is an American actor. He is the son of actress Kim Zimmer and director A.C. Weary. He resides with his family in New Jersey.

[edit] Acting

After an initial guest role on his mother's show, Guiding Light in 2002, he was cast as Luke Snyder on the television soap opera As the World Turns. He portrayed that role in 2005.

Weary has also been seen two of the Law & Order franchise shows, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Weary's departure from As the World Turns was the cause of some controversy, as the timing coincided with a change in course for the character of Luke, who would be revealed to be gay. Initially, news reports suggested that Weary or Zimmer may have been uncomfortable with the story. Zimmer subsequently told the press that Weary's departure was because he was only 15, and rather than work the long hours As the World Turns had been scheduling him, he wanted to return to episodic work and be able to return to school.

[edit] Trivia

When Kim Zimmer fell pregnant with Jake, her pregnancy was written into Guiding Light, meaning that in a way Jake is indirectly responsible for the creation of Shayne Lewis, Reva's son.
