Jaidyn Leskie

Jaidyn Raymond Leskie, born April 30, 1996, was a 14 month old Australian child of Bilynda Williams whose disappearance whilst under the care of a babysitter from a house in Moe, Victoria in 1997 led to the biggest search for a missing person in the Australia since the disappearance of Prime Minister Harold Holt in 1967.
The body of Leskie was later recovered from Blue Rock Dam, directly east of Willowgrove, 30km north of Moe on January 1, 1998. Several Coronial Inquests have been held to attempt to determine the cause and identity of those responsible for Leskie's death.
To date, nobody has been convicted of the murder. Greg Domaszewicz was charged with murder but later acquitted by a Supreme Court jury. The forensic evidence against him was substantial. A later inquest conducted by Victorian State Coroner Graeme Johnstone found that Domaszewicz 'disposed of [Jaidyn's] body in nearby Blue Rock Dam', though he stopped short of ruling that Domaszewicz caused the child's death. Williams has now stated that she believes Domaszewicz was the murderer. [2]
