From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jahanian (Urdu: جہانیاں) is ( officially a Tehsil of Distt. Khanewal) town near Multan.

Jahanian has a rich history, specially it is estimated that Muhammad Bin Qasim, The first Muslim invader in sub-continent passed through this area in the way to Multan. Earlier than this, it is believed that Alexander the Great also left some marks during the conquest of this area. This all is an assumption and no practical or historical proof can be presented on the spot. But geographics and historic paths do prove this argument. Jahanian is named after the famous and influential saint "Jahanian Jahan Gasht", who preached the teachings of Islam, in this area during 18th century AD.
